The Spot The Spot restaurant was opened in 1907 when a man parked a chuck wagon on the corner of Court and Ohio Street. Regulations at the time prohibited food establishments on wheels so he took them off and a permanent structure was born for the Spot Restaurant. Known for its fresh ground beef burgers, thick malts and homemade pies.
Tawana Civic Park Located on the east side of the city, the 192 acre Tawana Park offers its visitors many outdoor activities, such as hiking, fishing, family picnics, local sporting games, and even a water park. Take a picturesque ride or hike through the park and enjoy the fresh air and nature. Visit one of the many attractions in the park such as Big Rock or the Covered Bridge.

Armstrong Air and Space Museum The museum is not only a tribute to Neil Armstrong, but also to Ohio's rich contribution to aviation and space exploration. The museum features many one-of-a-kind artifacts including the Gemini VIII spacecraft, Neil Armstrong’s Gemini and Apollo spacesuits, and an Apollo 11 moon rock. The museum is also home to two full-size aircraft, both of which were flown by Mr. Armstrong. A 15-year-old Armstrong learned to fly at Port Wapakoneta, a long-gone Wapakoneta airfield. He flew a yellow Aeronca Champion now on exhibit at the museum.
